Development of 55 MW AC Solar Energy Project in Lop Buri

ITD and ITE were assigned to construct a 55 MW (net) AC solar plant on a 600-acre plot in Wang Phloeng Sub-district, Khok Samrong District, Lop Buri. The project is part of the Natural Energy Development Co., Ltd.’s solar power plant, one of the world’s largest solar photovoltaic schemes. Over the 25 years the project will run for, it will help the country reduce CO2 emissions by over 1.3 million tons and cut fuel imports by over 35,000 tons per year. In the future, a renewable energy learning center specializing in solar power will be established and it is expected that this will attract increasing numbers of visitors to the area, thus increasing income for the community and nearby areas.
