The Department of Highways implemented the project of construction of a toll collection system on the Intercity Motorway No. 7 (Bangkok-Chon Buri) at the Ban Bueng, Bang Phra, Nong Kham, Pong and Pattaya interchanges to encourage efficient and fair toll collection. The project included construction of a traffic control system to ensure round-the-clock traffic convenience and safety.

Currently, there are two intercity motorways in service: the 82-km Bangkok-Chon Buri Motorway (New Route) and the 64-km Eastern Outer Bangkok Ring Road. Realizing the importance of consistent development and improvement to ensure maximum road safety and international standard services, the Intercity Motorway Division engaged TEAM GROUP to provide consulting services for urgent problem solving and intercity motorway development planning.
