Aiming to integrate bridge and road networks, the plan included efficiency improvement of the existing bridges and proposed that additional bridges be constructed in the next 20 years to better accommodate traffic between eastern and western sides of the river. It is expected that the people will benefit from time-saving mobility and the country will save considerably on energy costs.

The new U-shaped port, 920 meters wide, 2,275 meters long and equipped with 7 quays, will be able to accommodate a Super-Post Panamax (100,000 DWT with the capacity to carry more than 10,000 TEUs). When the third phase is complete, Thailand will rank among the world’s top 10 countries in terms of port traffic.

Link between Uttraphimuk Elevated Road and the 2nd Stage Expressway

An earlier study showed that the existing design of the planned link, including its five tollbooths, would not be sufficient to accommodate increasing traffic volume. We were thus assigned to conduct a feasibility study for a two-level link with six tollbooths which would allow drivers on the expressway from Thon Buri and southern Bangkok to enter the Uttraphimuk elevated road for rapid access to Ratchayothin Road.
