Development of U-Tapao International Airport and surrounding areas is part of the EEC development with the aim of establishing a new hub for logistics and freight transport, aircraft maintenance repair and overhaul, research and development on aerospace and security technologies, as well as strengthening economic cooperation in the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) and ASEAN region.

 

TEAM GROUP was entrusted with consulting service for the Construction of 2^nd Runway-Taxiway of U-Tapao International Airport Project. The work consists of two parts including; Part 1: Project management comprises construction of 2^nd runway and taxiway, a taxiway from the 1st runway heading to aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul center and its apron, development of public utilities of the airport, and tunneling work; Part 2: Project coordination comprises construction of air traffic control room, training center, PPP scheme for the development of U-Tapao airport and eastern airport city project, development of public transport networks, and other relevant tasks assigned by the Naval Public Works Department.
