In a bid to mitigate the chronic flood and drought problems, the acid soil problem, as well as to provide water resource for consumption and agriculture, HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej had requested the Royal Irrigation Department to construct Khun Dan Prakanchon Dam which is under the Upper Nakhon Nayok Basin Development Project. Though receiving wide protest from scholars and protesters, His Majesty finally solved the situation and made the project acceptable to the people.

 

Completed in 2004, the Dam has a storage capacity of 224 MCM and an area of 185,000 rai is irrigated.

 

TEAM GROUP was assigned to undertake the contractors bidding; review, inspect, and approve the construction drawings; supervise the construction; and transfer the technology via on-the-job training.
