TEAMG Wins Contract for Construction Supervision of the SRT Light Red Line Project, Siriraj–Taling Chan–Salaya, Valued at Approximately THB 400 Million

TEAMG, in partnership with its consortium, has secured the construction supervision contract for the Light Red Line suburban railway project, covering the Siriraj–Taling Chan–Salaya section and three additional stations, with a total contract value of THB 392 million. The project is expected to commence operations in 2029.

Mr. Chawalit Chantararat, Chief Executive Officer of TEAM Consulting Engineering and Management Public Company Limited (TEAMG), stated that the consortium, led by TEAMG as the lead firm, has been entrusted to provide construction supervision services for the Light Red Line project, including three additional stations: Saphan Rama 6 Station, Bang Kruai–EGAT Station, and Ban Chim Phli Station. TEAMG’s share of the contract is 66%, equivalent to THB 258 million, with the contract signed with the State Railway of Thailand (SRT) on 22 July 2026.

Under this project, TEAMG will manage the project, supervise construction, ensure quality control, coordinate with stakeholders, and support SRT in meeting contract requirements to deliver high-quality work on schedule.

Mr. Chawalit added that this project is one of the government and Ministry of Transport’s urgent rail infrastructure initiatives, aimed at extending the Light Red Line network from the existing Bang Sue–Taling Chan section, which is already in service, to Siriraj and Salaya. This expansion is expected to enhance connectivity across public transport networks and support future urban growth, with the goal of commencing operations by 2029.

The Siriraj–Taling Chan–Salaya section and the three additional stations form part of a total construction budget of THB 15,176 million, covering approximately 20.49 kilometers. The project includes at-grade rail lines, elevated tracks, improvements to existing lines, and new rail alignments, with a total of nine stations: Siriraj, Bang Khun Non, Talat Nam Taling Chan, Saphan Rama 6, Bang Kruai–EGAT, Ban Chim Phli, Kanchanaphisek, Sala Thammasop, and Salaya. Additionally, the project involves the construction of six U-turn bridges, as well as the design, installation, testing, and integration of electrical, signaling, telecommunications, and train support systems.

“The Red Line railway project is a key component in enhancing the western Bangkok mass transit network, connecting major economic, educational, and medical hubs in the country through an integrated main railway system,” Mr. Chawalit concluded.
